Frequently Asked Questions

When should I contact an accountant?

As soon as you start to think about your business, an accountant can help you take the next steps. I can discuss your business's organization, tax purposes and operations, along with target pricing and profit margins.

What does our initial meeting look like?

We meet one another in person, via zoom, or on the phone to get to know one another.  I want to hear your goals, passions, struggle in business/finance and share a bit about who I am and the services I am able to provide.  There is no cost or obligation to the initial meeting, and it gives us both the information to decide how to best proceed.

Do we really have to meet?

You might be thinking, I only have a couple T4's and I just need my personal taxes filed, do we really need to meet?  The answer is no.  With electronic documents these days, we can do it all virtually if you desire.

How can I know which accountant is right for me?

Does your accountant return your calls? Do you feel comfortable asking them a question? Do you feel heard?

With the right accountant, the answers should be a resounding "Yes!"

What are my options for raising money?

Get some impartial advice from an accountant before you consult the bank, apply for grants, or other funding. Any of these organizations will want to see a strong business plan and organized records. Let me help you get ready for your business's next step!
